DONATE

Following the closure of our village shop earlier this year the local community has come together to develop a community shop run by the community for the community.  In June 2017 a village-wide survey showed enormous support for the effort to set up a new village shop. At a village meeting on 12 July 2017 our committee was elected to register our community-owned company Lower Broadheath Community Shop Ltd.  Through our first wave of fundraising we were able to register as a Community Benefit Society and submit our planning permission application which was approved in January 2018.

We are now beginning to raise money to buy and locate a portable cabin to use as our initial community shop.  In order to achieve this we need to raise funds to enable us to start building work on the site at The Bell Inn. Help us make a difference to a small rural community by making a donation today! Similar shops in Alfrick and Whitbourne are very successful, so there is every reason to suggest that we can be successful too!  You can donate by following the link below to our Just Giving page.

Thank you for your support!
